1938
Martin Bormann issues an order which prohibited clergymen
from holding Party offices (113-PS). (NCA II, 899)
1941
Nazis initiate census of Jewish refugees in Amsterdam,
under the management of Dutch statistician Jacobus Lentz.
Contrary to Nazi belief that the numbers would exceed 120,000, Lentz
found the actual count to be about 20,000. (Black, ch. 11)
Eighty Polish political prisoners held at Auschwitz were shot.
The executions took place in the gravel pit near the Theatre Building.
The victims included the former mayor of Cracow. (Czech et al, p. 134)
July 3-6, 1944
A meeting of euthanasia experts is held in Vienna under the
auspices of Hitler's chancery. The participants visit the
facilities at the Steinhof and Gugging hospitals, the
euthanasia centers in Vienna. (USHMM 1994, 49)
