This is quite apart from the fact that "Mr. Cramer" isn't quite acccurately
posting material from the World Almanac.

He's reposting easily-demonstrated falsehoods, once again. The key data,
the 1949 figures, are made-up data that comes from some source other than
the World Almanac.

Simply looking at the actual books will show this; I have photocopies of the
relevant pages here.

The numbers that he gives for the 1949 edition are entirely false. The
number that the World Almanac actually gives as a world total for the "World
Jewish Population, U.S and Foreign" - on page 204, not page 289 - is
11,266,600.

These 1949 table lists as the source date as "compilations from latest
available data, 1948"

Perhaps interestingly, "Mr. Cramer" actually posted the correct 1949 edition
11.266 million figures and the page 204 location himself, just a few days
ago.

So which does he pretend to accept?

The 1948 edition figures are on page 249, and list as a world total for the
same population 15,688,259. The date given in the table for the sources is
*1938*, ten years and a world war before.

As near as I can tell, "Mr. Cramer" seems to base his view on the idea that
the World Almanac 1949 volumes, available in libraries since then, are
fakes, though as shown he sometimes seems to put them forward as genuine.

On 16 April 2007, "Mr. Cramer" wrote that another 1949 World Almanac was
originally published, using the higher figure, and that he has seen this
book.

Perhaps the most entertaining implication of this is that it means that he
believes that rather than change just the numbers in a table on one page,
*they reset the entire book*!

Poor "Mr. Cramer".

Since documentation is at least as easy to fake as photographs, that does

No it isn't.

For a start the documentation seems to exist in more than one place.

It has also been viewed by experts in the field who say the stuff looks good
to them.

It is very hard to forge such things, as the Hitler Diaries people found
out when they finally consulted a real documents expert...

again in 1941. But the 1940 and 1942 figures are different, and lower by
about 430,000 (1940) and 550,000 (1942). That suggests that the world Jewish
population did decline by half a million or so between 1938 and 1942. By
1947 it was nearly back up to the 1938 level.
